Well-Kept Screen Cleansing Towelettes REVIEW

When I was approached to check out the Well-Kept Screen Cleansing Towelettes I had already been looking into a good way to clean my 34″ LG monitor. Over the past few months, I have let my screen go. It looked miserable. Fingerprints and smudges…little spots from who knows what…and dust…Oh, the humanity! I finally had a chance to sit down and proceeded to clean the beast. I was impressed with the tiny package of wipes from the start.

The Well-Kept Screen Cleansing Towelettes comes in packets of 15 wipes. They are pre-moistened and useful for cleaning a variety of electronics and lenses. The label on the package shows a mobile phone, computer, tablet, and eye-glasses as suggested products for cleaning. The cloth itself is made from low-lint fabric and measure 7.5 x 3 inches in size. Each package has its own distinct style. This was part of the mission of the founder and CEO of Well-Kept, Neeley Kolsch. She developed the Screen Cleansing wipes out of necessity and strived to provide a product of quality and utility while being contained in a stylish package. When she found out that no such product was on the shelves, she created her own Well-Kept Screen Cleansing Towelettes.

The one-time use wipes are sold through the Well-Kept website, Amazon, and other retailers like Sephora. It’s marketed to not only keep your technology clean and fingerprint-free but also as a health product. Because of the cleaning solution infused into the wipe (water, isopropyl alcohol, and butoxyethanol), it can be used as a disinfectant, too. It can be used to remove makeup and oil from cell phones, keyboards, and many other devices that tend to cause acne or blemishes when they come into contact with human skin. While these aren’t intended to be used directly on the skin, it can help keep your skin clean and fresh by removing germs and other harmful elements from products that come into contact with it.

I received three different designs from Well-Kept. I will say, they get an “A” for being unique. Since part of the design mission of the product was to create a fashionable option for keeping devices clean, I think they did a great job of that. It’s also important to note that four of their designs — The Lady, Karogoto, Drive, and Frank — are all designs that support worthy nonprofit causes as Well-Kept has a ‘give back’ value system as a company.

The pull-tab of the wipes was very easy to open and when I reached in to remove one, I didn’t have any issues with them sticking together. I am sure if you have ever pulled cleaning wipes out of a plastic bottle, you have suffered the aggravations of them sticking together. I found the cleaning towelettes to do a wonderful job of coming out one at a time. I have plenty of devices with screens around my home office and the Well-Kept wipes did a great job of creating a cleaner workspace for me. The only issue I had with them is that I felt like I wasted one when cleaning my iPhone. It only took one towelette to clean my 34″ monitor, so using one cleaning wipe on something as small as an iPhone X screen felt like a total waste. I ended up using the towelette to clean some random stuff on my desk after cleaning my iPhone X just so I didn’t feel like I wasted it.

I was very impressed with how well the wipes actually worked. There were some pretty severe smudges on the monitor and the wipe took care of all the problem areas. The monitor screen is now spotless. It took seconds to dry and I was back to editing photos without wondering if the speck of dirt was a flaw in the image or a smudge on my screen. I also used the wipes to clean my iPhone X. As you can see from the images I’ve included, there were dozens of smudges and fingerprints on it. The Well-Kept wipe was ideal for cleaning it. Since the back is glass, the wipe cleared all the problems off the surface and it was returned to its pristine state.

CONCLUSION

I think the Well-Kept Cleansing Towelettes are a worthy investment for anyone who uses devices daily. It’s a valuable accessory and can come in quite handy when on the go. The cloth is soft enough to keep from scratching my screens and the cleaning solution removes all the nasty things that make the screens dirty. I like products that work and these work. I don’t think I’ll be using anything else for quite a while to clean my screens.
