UGREEN 100W Nexode 12000 MAh Power Bank REVIEW — MacSources
Ultrafast 100W portable power bank with smart display
After my son and I completed our 60+ mile Philmont BSA backpacking trip last year in Cimarron, NM, I returned to my quest to find the optimal portable battery for our camping and backpacking needs. I took an ANKER 10000 mAh battery and a 20,000 mAh battery on the trip and had a love-hate relationship with the batteries. The 20,000 mAh device allowed Micro-USB or USB-C input (not both simultaneously) but only dual USB-A output, which was weird.
The 10,000 mAh battery allowed USB-A output, USB-C input/output, and dual port charging, which was a more convenient option. I liked the weight of the batteries but disliked that I had to take extra cables to accommodate the USB-A and USB-C ports. For our next trip in 2025, I want a lightweight battery that can provide optimal output to at least two devices, and I would prefer dual USB-C ports with USB-C input. Additionally, I would love an efficient battery that can maintain power to my 4441 mAh iPhone 15 Pro Max and 564 mAh Ultra Watch Gen 2 batteries. Assuming 70% efficiency, a 10000 mAh battery should give me ~1.4 charges for my devices.
