Mophie Speedport 45 USB-C GaN Charger 2024 REVIEW — MacSources

Portable dual USB-C PD port wall charger.

Since Apple stopped including charging blocks with their iPhone 12’s in 2020, many consumers looked to other companies for their wall charging needs. I am not the only one disappointed in the decision and frustrated that I had to expend additional money to make the phone functional. Despite the frustration, many chargers provided better power output, better heat dissipation, and multi-port charging. Thanks to GaN technology, the devices often provide more power from smaller frames.

Packaging/Unboxing:

The mophie speedport 45 arrived in a clean, white-colored, 4 inches wide by 4 inches tall by 1 3/8 inches thick hanging style retail package. The company name was listed atop the cover panel, while the product name, product descriptor (45W 2-port GaN fast wall charger), and dual features (Up to 45W Fast Charging and Ultra Compact Form Factor) were listed along the bottom.
