With my daily sixty-minute work commute, travel time, and personal downtime, I consumed 52 books in 2023. I was proud of this final score, considering I had set a goal of 30 books for 2023. Even though I typically enjoy Audible Audiobooks, my friend Quintin Johnson wrote a book called The Hidden Realm that I wanted to read. I have tried reading on my iPad Pro 12.9" and iPhone 15 Pro Max with the Kindle App and a few library/reading apps and found the experience unfavorable.

I may be a bit old-fashioned when I prefer actual books and the feel/smell of paper when I read. Interested in reading before bed, I struggled to find the best lighting conditions to read my non-backlit hardback. I turned to Amazon for options, and after a quick search, I landed on the Glocusent neck reading light. I was excited about the 4.7-star average for the 112,479 reviews. More impressively, the device garnered 93% 4/5 star positive reviews.
