Your Desk, your way! Enhance your productivity while standing or sitting.

I have read a lot about the benefits of stand up desks on mood, energy, focus, back pain/posture, productivity (~45% per some studies), and a decreased need for caffeine. As someone who tends to change positions frequently throughout the day, I was excited about the option of a desk that could accommodate both sitting and standing positions. There are days when the flow of the office makes it difficult to return to my office, to sit down, and to complete tasks.

I may move between different offices and only return to my office for a quick call, computer message, or to complete documents. Sometimes, an elevated workstation would allow me to keep moving to quickly complete a task or reduce fatigue, like when sitting after lunch. Additionally, I liked the prospect of increased calorie usage and weight loss (standing could burn 88Cal/hour, while sitting burned ~80Cal/hour).

Although this does not seem like much of a difference, it could add up with time, especially when considering the work needed to be done anyway. Despite the benefits mentioned, standing is not for everyone and could pose health concerns like leg/foot pain or varicose veins.

Unboxing:

Before confirming your delivery address, I recommend considering the final destination and the possibility of a second-person lift assist due to the FlexiSpot E7B-Plus’ three large/heavy boxes. The two desk frame/riser boxes measured 8 1/2 inches wide by 34 inches long by 8 1/2 inches tall and weighed 48 pounds. The solitary desktop box measured 51 inches long by 2 1/2 inches thick by 32 3/4 inches wide and weighed 40.3 pounds.

Although each of the 48-pound riser boxes was not terribly large, they were on the heavier end and took up quite a bit of space within my 2015 Nissan Leaf vehicle.
