The data recovery software that is accessible to everyone.

Everyone makes mistakes. It’s in these mistakes that we learn and make better choices. Not everything in life has a do-over button, but sometimes our computers give us second chances. EaseUS Data Recovery is that saving grace that most of us hope for when we accidentally delete an extraneous file.

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac is an easy-to-use application that helps users get deleted or lost files back safely. To us it, you simply install it, scan the storage device (native hard drive or external), and select the files you want to recover. EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac gives you the ability to restore data that was deleted or formatted files from HDD, SD cards, and other storage media. The software can recover data from the following types of devices:

  • MacBook/iMac
  • HDD
  • USB Drive
  • Digital Camera
  • iPod, MP3
  • Video Player like MP4
  • Camcorder Memory Card like SD Card, CF, XD, and MMC card
  • Other storage media

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard for Mac there are no limits to how much data you can recover and you receive free lifetime technical support with a paid license. You also have the ability to create a bootable USB drive and recover data from a macOS machine that is unable to boot up.

Using EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard really is as easy as documented on easeus.com. You install, scan, and recover files. After I installed the app, which was remarkably easy, I selected the drive I wanted scanned and slicked on ‘scan’. I did have a momentary delay when my system security detected that the app didn’t come from a ‘trusted source’. So, I had to go into my system preferences and allow the connection to the app first.

Once that was completed, the software started the scan. At first, the scan was reporting that it might take close to 3 hours to complete. In actuality, it only took about 25 minutes. When the scan was done, I had 8.01 GB of recovered data to sift through. The app gives you the option to search through the results and if you know what you are looking for, then this is quite a handy feature. In my case, I was simply testing out how quickly the scan worked and what the results might look like.

I ended up selecting a random file and walking through the steps to recover it. First, you check the box next to the file you want and then click ‘Recover Now’. At this point, you will be shown a prompt that directs you to select the location where you would like the file saved. I attempted to save it directly to my Desktop, which was the same location where the file was previously stored. The app would not allow me to save it there and gave me other options for where to save the file.

If you find yourself needing to recover files, I would recommend this software because of it’s simple process. You really can’t go wrong with it. A single license is $89.95 and a Technician License is $299.00. Both versions come with a free trial, which I usually recommend people take advantage of when testing out a new piece of software.
