As a marketing professional, I’ve used many different types of social media cross-platform posting tools. For a number of years, I used Hootsuite and then I used Buffer for a while. Both tools have their plusses and minuses, but probably the biggest downside to those types of systems is the cost. Plus if you want to just focus on microposting without the expense of Buffer or Hootsuite, then Croissant is a great alternative.
About Croissant
Croissant was created to give users a user-friendly option for posting to multiple social media platforms at one time. It specifically focuses on microposting platforms that are alternatives to Twitter — Bluesky, Mastadon, and Threads. The app provides a distraction-free interface and allows people to post to their feeds without having to read through their feeds. The app is built using Swift with Swift UI as the framework. It was originally released in October 2024 with plans to release an iPad version and use Catalyst to carry the iPad version over to macOS (these versions were released in December 2024).
