In the past couple of months, I’ve been working to build out a PC gaming experience with my new Velztrom Praetix Gaming Desktop. The PC was a standalone product so I found myself looking to add a monitor, keyboard, and mouse to the setup. I ordered the Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED Gaming Monitor (AW3225QF) to ensure that I could get the highest refresh rate possible and then I sought out a keyboard and mouse. I ended up with a Razer gaming mouse, but finding a suitable keyboard — one that was wireless, white, mechanical, and had responsive switches/keys — was much harder than I ever anticipated. Fortunately, the Cherry XTRFY K5V2 Compact Mechanical Gaming Keyboard was released and it set the bar for what my ideal gaming keyboard should be.
