Meet the ultra-portable slider.

Sometimes when you travel or go on location for a shoot you feel like you are taking everything but the kitchen sink with you. You want to be prepared for any situation and any opportunity to capture your subject. One piece of equipment that can be difficult and sometimes down right impossible to take with you easily is a crane and/or slider. This is where the Axler Foldable Crane Slider (FCS-1428) comes into play. It’s a camera slider that allows a camera operator to make linear and parabolic movements without a huge set-up.

DETAILS

The Foldable Crane Slider is a portable option for completing smooth, steady movements without needing a giant slider rig. The movements — either linear or parabolic — are made with a knob handle. The slider is designed to be used with medium sized DSLRs and mirrorless cameras. It will support a maximum payload of 4.5lbs. The slider attaches to a standard tripod with a 3/8"-16 mount thread and slides from the middle to either side. If it’s fully extended, it measures 28 inches. The slider comes with a ball head, but other matching heads can be used in place of it. Both positions offer 1/4"-20 mounting screws. The slider is made of aluminum and has ABS plastic side panels.
