Anker Powerhouse 200 Rechargeable Generator REVIEW

The Powerhouse 200 is a portable, rechargeable generator that can be used to charge items using a car outlet, USB-A, USB-C, or and AC adapter. It’s perfect for fast charging needs for the on-the-go adventurer and for emergency uses such as a CPAP machine. It does tote a hefty price tag of around $350 (MSRP), but for everything it provides, it might just be worth it. The Powerhouse 200 has 57600 mAh of battery life to it. That is enough to recharge an iPhone XS almost 22 times. According to Anker’s product information, you should be able to get the following ‘hours of power’ from the following devices:

  • Fan: 12+ hours
  • Mini-Fridge: 4+ hours
  • Inflatable Mattress: 18+ times

The Anker Powerhouse 200 came in a classic Anker-branded box. It comes with a standard AC power adapter and brick along with a Welcome Guide. The Welcome Guide is helpful, but a little confusing. It’s multilingual, which is wonderful, but Anker put all the languages together instead of separating them out. This confused me when I was reading through the instructions because the foreign languages caused some clutter on the pages of the guide. With that in mind, I’m going to include a very quick starting guide for the Powerhouse here. It will be in English, but you could always use Google Translate (or other program) to translate it to another language. The purpose of this is to provide the instructions in one group rather than broken up.

  1. Press on/off to initiate charging for that output port. NOTE: AC output port and DC output port cannot be used for charging at the same time.
  2. When charging is completed, turn off each output port by pressing the on/off button for each port.
  3. Recharge your Powerhouse by plugging it into a wall outlet or USB-C power delivery. NOTE: There is no need to press the USB-C on/off button in advance for recharging your Powerhouse.

The Powerhouse 200 is an efficient, portable charging monster, it’s got a very sleek design and is super easy to carry. It’s perfect for travelers and adventurers alike. It can be used for many different devices and because it’s an Anker product, I believe it will last for a very long time. If you are constantly on the go or enjoy the occasional walk in the woods, I would recommend investing in this device so that you always have power.
